Weekly Study Planner - free printable

Hello, and welcome! The new school year is almost upon us, so today I'm sharing here a very useful printable: a weekly study planner.

Originally I created a blue and a pink version. The pink one was supposed to be for my daughter, but since she declared she no longer likes pink, we ended up with an additional yellow/orange version:

You just need to download the pdf file, choose your favorite color and run the page through a color printer. It's a pdf file with three pages, one for each of the color options.

Have fun, and happy back to school season!

Teaching Your Kids Responsibility - With Free Printables

Another bunny t-shirt

Remember the first bunny t-shirt I made a long, long time ago (original post here)? It seems that my kids never get tired of their bunny t-shirts and when one doesn't fit anymore I have to make another. Here's the latest one:

Summer crafts for kids: felt envelope pouches

If you've been visiting a while, you already know I love working with felt. So now I came up with a way for kids (in this case, my daughter) to make some pouches by themselves.

And if you're thinking you're not comfortable letting your kids use needles - don't worry, these pouches can be done in a strictly no-sew version using fabric glue.

Summer crafts for kids: pipe cleaners keychains

If you've read my previous post on having kids making their own summer notebooks, you already know I'm on a quest to find simple crafts my kids can do by themselves to stay occupied this summer.

Summer crafts for kids: make your own summer notebook

Having the kids at home during the summer with us parents still at work (even if working from home) is always a challenge, so I've been trying to discover new things to keep my ten year old occupied. We discovered a previously unused cross stitch kit at the back of a closet and she's been working on those designs, but then we had to find something to use the cross stitch in. And I came up with the idea of having her creating her own summer notebook.

This way she's was not only occupied building the notebook but she also now has a place to record her summer memories, the books she's reading, summer bucket lists, etc. Of course this doesn't work for toddlers, but it's a good suggestion for older children to pass these summer days especially if they're still, like us, limited in their outings due to Covid.

Embellished shorts with vintage trim

Remember the shorts I upcycled recently? Well, last weekend I was working on a new pair, and this time I embellished them with some vintage trim (from a box of leftovers that belonged to my grandmother).

This is something I love doing - not only do the shorts look much better (and unique too) but they also last longer when you have fast growing kids (the ribbons and trims add that extra bit of length that will make them wearable one more season).
