Crochet doll dresses

Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here two crochet doll dresses I made this past weekend.

Sometimes inspiration strikes when you least expect - although in this case my inspiration did have a small push, in the form of a request from...you guessed, my daughter.

DIY crochet doll sleeping bag

Today I'm back here sharing a small project I finished right after Christmas. One of my daughter's gifts was a (yet another) new mini baby doll, which obviously needed a lot of accessories - and right away.

As doll sleeping bags go, this one was pretty quick given the small size. But you really can follow the same method to create a sleeping bag for a doll of any size.

How to Have a Fun Christmas Game Night at Home - with free printables

The feeling of hanging out with loved ones during the holidays is second to none. From the busy kitchen where adults are cooking and eating to the play area where the kids are having a blast, Christmas is such a magical time for the whole family. But this year, many people are choosing to have a socially distanced Christmas at home.

Although a small Christmas is something new for many people, you can still make it a fun experience for your whole family with these fun Christmas games.

DIY doll diapers

Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here a very important project, at least from my daughter's perspective: new diapers for her baby dolls.

A while ago I wrote a doll diaper tutorial. For these new diapers I used the same pattern, but changed a few things.

Upcycled: vintage vanity case to doll bedroom

Hello, and welcome to another week! Today I'm sharing here my latest Sunday project -  how I turned a vintage vanity case into a bedroom for one of my daughter's dolls.

Upcycled: vintage vanity case to doll bedroom

A couple of weeks ago my mother found this old case in one of her closets. I remember it from my own childhood as my mom always used it when we traveled. So now she asked my daughter if she wanted it - and my daughter of course said yes.

But...this case is probably at least fifty years old and it came in a sorry state, especially the inside. Extensive upcycling was needed. So I metaphorically raised my sleeves and got down to work.

Barbie doll sized clutch bag

Hello, and welcome to another Tuesday. Today I'm sharing another quick project (those are the best!) I made for my daughter - a new clutch for her Barbie (which was really needed to match a specific dress).

Doll house sized bath towel with hood

Hello, and welcome! Lately I've been making lots of doll house sized items, as my daughter has been very much into them. Her latest request was a bath towel for one of the babies.

DIY Play Medicine Bottles

Hello, and welcome back. Some weeks ago I shared here the felt band aids I made for my daughter's pretend play medical set, and today I'm showing you one more item in the set: medicine bottles.

Made with small plastic bottles leftover from a bath travel set and felt scraps.

My daughter complained that she didn't have enough medicine to cure her dolls and stuffed animals from whatever ailment they had over the weekend, and, as usual, I took the bait.

Doll house sized felt play food: a pizza!

During lockdown my daughter saw a lot of craft videos on how to make doll house miniatures (mostly food items and other household objects). A lot of those were made using air dry clay, but I promised her I could make at least a few using felt.

Pizza vs. Tacos Tic-Tac-Toe Game - free printable

Hello, and welcome! Since we all had to stay at home during lockdown, the search for kid friendly activities of the non-screen variety has been endless. So I'm all up for trying new game ideas, especially if they are the inexpensive variety.

This, added to the fact that when I saw our Etsy Gift Guide Bloggers schedule for this week I realised I had little to share on tomorrow's post: Thursday Throwdown is all about pizza and tacos - and while I would love for you to come back tomorrow to know my thoughts on both, I'm anticipating a pizza and tacos craft project today: the pizza vs. tacos tic-tac-toe printable for you to have fun with your kids!

Activities for Kids - felt easter bunny & egg to decorate

Hello, and welcome. As we are all more or less stuck at home now, the search for activities to keep the kids busy is almost endless. Today's project is a great idea, especially since it's Easter themed.

Activities for Kids - Pom Pom Rugs

A lot of us are nowadays quarantined or at least recommended to stay at home as much as possible. And being home with kids for extended periods of time isn't always easy, so today I'm leaving you a suggestion for an activity that will keep the kids busy for quite some time: pom pom rugs.

Now, there are lots of pom pom rug tutorials online - for real rugs to use in your home. These are slightly different.

Holiday Dresses for Dolls

This is holidays season and so my daughter decided her dolls needed to renew their wardrobe to celebrate in style.

So I went through my stash and it wasn't that hard to find a few things that could be used to make new doll dresses...

DIY Bunny Softies - with pattern

Hello, and welcome. Today I'm sharing two sweet bunny softies. I made them a couple of months ago as a gift for my cousin's baby girl and now I have finally finished drafting the pattern and putting together a tutorial.

They are really very easy to make. All you need is some cute fabric and a little bit of time, and you can create a lovely homemade gift.

Dressing up a doll

Today's post is mostly me bragging about finishing another backlogged project...A bit of background: a while ago my mother cleaned out her closet and found a doll. The doll had no clothes and my mother doesn't remember where it came from. It didn't belong to my daughter and it wasn't one of my old dolls either. Instead of trying to solve the mystery, though, we decided to just donate it.

Dressing up a doll

My daughter has too many dolls as it is, and all the other girls in our family are either too old or too young to play with this kind of dolls. So donation was the best way.

But...does it really make sense to donate a doll with no clothes? Who is going to play with it? So I told my mother I would go through my scraps of yarn and fabric and make the poor doll some clothes.
