Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here my opinions on the Ricorumi Spin Spin DK yarn, that I used for the first time recently when making my triangle bag.
Ricorumi Spin Spin DK is a 100% cotton yarn from Rico Design.
Each ball of yarn (50 grams) contains either different shades of the same color or blocks of different colors altogether. I used the blue signaled in the picture below:
It's a very easy yarn to work with (I used it to both knit and crochet when I made the bag), but it's very, very soft. Although they market it as an amigurumi yarn, I'm not totally convinced it holds its shape all that well if used for amigurumis (I lined my bag, so I had no issues).
On the other hand, it should be absolutely perfect to crochet or knit baby blankets.
My only concern when using the Ricorumi Spin Spin DK was that while the color changes look beautiful in the finished work, this is not in fact a single yarn dyed in different shades. It's actually a series of yarns in variegating colors joined together, and the joining places are pretty visible:
Which means that in larger projects you end up with little bits of yarn sticking out, that you then need to weave in.
In any case, it's still a great yarn and since I have three and a half balls of it left after completing the bag, I will certainly use it for other projects.
(this is not a sponsored post; I have no relationship with Rico Design; all opinions are my own, based on my experience with this yarn)
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
