Even though our family doesn't celebrate St. Patrick's Day, I have a half-Irish friend who never misses a chance to celebrate, and I usually make something to give her on March 17th.
Over the years this has become a tradition for us and even though we are all under lockdown at this point, I still wanted to make her a little gift (even though I will most likely have to mail it instead of delivering in person).
I made this bookmark/keychain in the same way as the Valentine's Day bookmarks.
I got the wood bookmark frames from Amazon. They came in a kit similar to this one:
After completing the cross stitch I glued a piece of soft felt over the back:
Initially I was aiming for a more elaborate design, eventually including a four-leaf clover, but there just wasn't enough space in the frame to add what I wanted. So I had to settle for a simpler pattern:
Download the cross stitch chart here (colors and symbols, and DMC floss color codes as well).
Happy Tuesday!
What a cute design for a keychain. Thanks so much for sharing this at our Party in Your PJs link party.
