Thursday Throwdown: books vs. movies

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today another fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - books vs. movies.

For me it's easy: books all the way!

Thursday Throwdown: cookies vs. cake

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today another fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - cookies vs. cake.

Now that is a though choice!

Thursday Throwdown: beach vs. pool

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today another fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - beach vs. pool.

Well, I'm kind of partial to the beach, but I'll take the pool any summer day too!

Thursday Throwdown: Pinterest vs. Facebook

Hello, and welcome!

This week's Thursday Throwdown theme is Pinterest vs. Facebook.

For me the choice is not that obvious. I don't see Pinterest and Facebook as even remotely similar, and I use them for different reasons and purposes.

Thursday Throwdown: Popcorn vs. Chips

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today another fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - popcorn vs. chips.

I love both, even though neither is great for my waistline. If I have to pick a favourite, I would probably go with chips - or salted popcorn, as I usually prefer salty to sweet in terms of flavors.

Thursday Throwdown: iced coffee vs. frozen lemonade

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today another fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - iced coffee or frozen lemonade?

Well, for me that's not really a choice. Summer is lemonade season at our house (frozen or any other kind). Iced coffee? No, thank you.

Thursday Throwdown: pirates vs. dinosaurs

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today another fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - and the theme this time is  pirates vs. dinosaurs!

It’s a tough choice, but if I had to pick one I would probably go with dinosaurs.

Thursday Throwdown: butterflies vs. bees

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today a fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - and the theme is butterflies vs. bees!

When it comes to crafting, I love them both. In real life, though, I much prefer to stay away from bees. I've been stung twice before and, honestly, it was twice too many.

Thursday Throwdown: pizza vs. tacos

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today a fun post in the Thursday Throwdown series - and the theme is pizza vs. tacos!

My favorite is pizza but...

Thursday Throwdown: sweet vs. salty

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown, and the theme is sweet vs. salty!

Salty for me, thank you. Though to be fair, I like sweet too once in a while. So, to keep things balanced I'm revisiting a couple of my favorite recipes that I've shared before on the blog, two sweet and two salty.

Throwdown Thursday: physical books vs e-books vs audio books

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown: physical books vs e-books vs audio books

Now, I read a lot of books - and I really mean that (you can check my other blog, The Book Worm, for reviews of some of the books I've read). My favorite? Paper books. There's something magical about the smell of a new book when you turn the first page - and there's also something magical about a used book that you can't help but wonder where it has passed through before and who else read it already.

But...

Thursday Throwdown: mermaids vs. unicorns

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown: mermaids vs. unicorns

Now, this is a difficult one. If you ask my daughter, she'll tell you mermaids are the best (big Ariel fan). Me? I like them both, but I actually tend to lean more towards unicorns.

Thursday Throwdown: Spring vs. Summer

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown: spring vs. summer.

For me it's kind of a difficult choice. I'm a summer girt through and through, but spring leads to summer so I can't really say I don't like it.

Thursday Throwdown: beach vs. forest

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown: beach vs. forest.

Which is your favorite?

Thursday Throwdown: ice cream vs frozen yogurt

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown, and this time with a topic not craft or Etsy related - because we all need a break sometime, and most especially now.

This week's theme is ... ice cream vs. frozen yogurt.

Thursday Throwdown: consistent shop theme vs. selling whatever you want

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown: to have or not to have a consistent shop theme.

Thursday Throwdown: Ready to Ship vs. Custom Made

Hello, and welcome. I'm back today with this week's Thursday Throwdown: ready to ship vs. custom made.

Thursday Throwdown: in person vs. online sales

And...this week's Thursday Throwdown theme is in person vs. online sales.

Thursday Throwdown: cats vs. dogs

This week's Thursday Throwdown theme is cats vs dogs.

And about that, I have a funny story to tell.

Facebook vs. Instagram

This week's Thursday Throwdown theme is Facebook vs. Instagram.

Well, for me it's easy. It's just Facebook, because I'm not on Instagram.

Facebook is not my favorite social media. My private life is exactly that - private. So I only set up my Facebook account when I started this blog, and I basically only use it for the blogs and for my Etsy shop.

Now the reason why I'm not on Instagram is a different story. If it were for me, I would be there. But I have an on-going discussion with the FB and Instagram technical support teams. When I tried to sign up for Instagram, I decided to use the same FB login - and the thing goes like this:

• when I sign up for Instagram, it tells me the e-mail I'm using is already registered, so I should just login instead
• when I try to log in, Instagram tells me my e-mail is unknown

After a zillion mails to client support, apparently no one really knows why this happens. I could of course create a new mail box just for Instagram - but honestly, I don't want to. I already have my work e-mail, my personal e-mail and my blog/Etsy shop e-mail. I don't want to get another one just for Instagram.

So, until this issue is solved one way or another, no Instagram for me.

On a more positive note, there are two new items on my Esty shop: one cute flamingos key chain (because who doesn't love flamingos) and a reusable face scrubbies set (because I'm trying to get everyone to be more eco-friendly this year):
