...made from...yes, you guessed: yarn leftover from another project.
To be honest, I don't even remember what I originally got this yarn for, but it had been sitting in my craft supplies closet for quite some time. So this past weekend I grabbed a hook and finally used it to crochet this small pouch while watching TV.
I didn't take photos of the process, but I'll try to explain it the best I can. Any questions, let me know in the comments.
I started by crocheting a rectangle using single crochet stitches (to keep it as simple as possible) and folded it lengthwise in an envelope shape.
Then I added a row of single crochets around the top and the two sides of the pouch (joining the folded side edges together), with a few chains on the top to create the button loop.
I used a pretty painted wood button (also from my stash) in matching colors.
And that was it! I'm still not sure what I'll use this little pouch for, but it for nothing else it will make a cute package for gift cards or other small gifts.
Have fun, and happy Monday!
