Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here a simple recipe for butter cinnamon biscuits, which are just perfect to enjoy this season!
I didn't take a lot of photos of the process, but I'll try to describe it the best I can below. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments.
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of melted butter (can be replaced with vegetable margarine for a dairy free alternative)
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tablespoon of powdered cinnamon
- 1/4 tablespoon of baking powder
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the butter with the sugar, add the egg and the cinnamon, and finally the flour and the baking powder. Blend everything together until you have a uniform ball of dough.
Refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours and then shape your biscuits. This dough is not quite hard enough to use cookie cutters, so it's better to shape them by hand.
Place the biscuits in an oven tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 160ยบ C.
Once baked, let the cookies cool down (a cake cooling rack is usually the best option) and then you can store them in a cookie tin or jar.
