Remember the re-styled tote bag I shared here last week, in the making of which I used a lot of fabric scraps? Well, I still had scraps left when I finished, so I thought - why not make a matching zipper pouch?
As usual, this was made using my basic zipper pouch tutorial, just adjusting measurements to the size I wanted. I started by sewing the fabric scraps to two pieces of batting:
For the pouch to match the tote bag even better, I added bits of the same lacy ribbon in used in the bag at the top:
Then I cut similar sized pieces of lining fabric and inserted the zipper:
And finally I assembled it together. Here's how it looks on both sides:
To line the pouch I used this super-cute ice-cream cones fabric (also leftover from other projects, along with the smaller pieces used in the pouch exterior):
And here's the pair together:
Have fun, and happy Tuesday!
