Neutral Tones or Bright Colors? - 6 laundry room ideas to inspire you

Hello, and welcome!

One of the things I dislike the most about living in an apartment is the fact that I don't have enough space for a laundry room. I have a washer behind a cabinet in a corner of my kitchen and I line dry clothes in the kitchen balcony, and that's basically it.

So looking for laundry room inspiration has been a hobby for a long time, and today I'm sharing here some ideas I've collected along the way.

All of these include a window, because if I could have a laundry room then natural light would be a must, but the layouts can be easily adjusted if you only have a windowless space to work with.

Also, I do prefer to have the machines side by side, but I have also included a couple of alternatives where they are stacked and that may be more suited for smaller spaces.

And, of course, I'm introducing two alternative color choices: neutral tones (although not going for plain black or white) or brighter colors (original shades, but not too bright either since you do need the laundry room to fit with the rest of your home).
Let's start with the neutral tones. Beige, taupe, grey, stone blue, cream, soft brown (or any other shade in between) always look great, fit in almost everywhere and can elevate any design scheme. When used skillfully, neutral colors create a calming and elegant atmosphere on an otherwise completely utilitarian space.

If I'm honest, the laundry room below is my favorite: lots of light, enough storage and lovely colors.

Below is an alternative with even more storage space, if it's something you feel you need:

If you have just a smaller space available, yo may need t compromise a bit on the storage space, but you can still make it look pretty:

Do I love neutral tones? Yes, I think they always look good.

But sometimes you need to let got of pre-conceived ideas and jut be bold. So this next set of photos aims to show you that sometimes a daring touch of color can be just the right way to go - I picked pistachio green, pink and yellow because I think this color combo looks great, both individually and together.

Of the three, the green version is my favorite. The stacked machines are ideal for small spaces like the one below:

Pink is not an obvious choice for a room of this type, and definitely won't fit everywhere, but sometimes it's worth to look beyond the obvious and you may discover alternatives you would have not thought of otherwise.
