Hello, and welcome! Remember the basic leg warmers pattern I posted here a while ago? Well, I created a new pair of leg warmers - slightly different from the first ones, but still very easy to make.
I didn't write a pattern this time, just crocheted as I went along, but below you can find a short description/tutorial.
I used some wool blend yarn I already had at home, and since it was thinner than what I wanted, I crocheted with two strands at the same time.
I started with 36 chains, joined the last chain to the first one to create a circle, and went from there.
The first two rows for a sort of cuff. The first row is made simply of double crochets, and in the next two rows I alternated two double crochets with one front post double crochet.
After that, I just added rows of double crochets until I reached the desired height.
When I made the other leg warmers I did not increase the number of stitches in any of the rows, since I was using a chunkier and more elastic yarn. When crocheting these new leg warmers, I felt the need to make a couple of increases. In the picture below you can see the crochet markers I placed in the rows where I increased the number of stitches (one additional stitch in each row).
Here are the finished leg warmers:
I made these leg warmers for my daughter so I adjusted the measurements to her size. If you want to make something similar, you may need to increase the number of initial chains or the number of stitches in the following rows.
I know this is not a very detailed tutorial, so if you're looking to make similar leg warmers and have questions, let me know in the comments and I'll be happy to help.
And yes, this is another project I made using exclusively supplies I already had at home, so it totally counts towards my 2024 destashing goal!
Have fun, and happy Tuesday!
