Rosários4 Monchique yarn review

I recently finished and posted the free pattern for my basic crochet cowl, and since I used a new (at least to me) yarn, I decided to share here a review:

Monchique is a 63% alpaca/37% polyamid blend yarn from the Rosários4 knitting collection, and it comes in 21 different colors:

Even though this is presented as a knitting yarn, it works great for crochet too. It's very soft and fluffy, so it was perfect for my cowl. The only advice I would give you when using this yarn is to avoid pulling to hard on it while you are working - as I found that part of the fluffiness is lost when you stretch it too much.

For my crochet cowl I used two skeins of color 33 Monchique yarn, though I still have a bit leftover from the second skein.

Rosários4 is a Portuguese company that sells a wide range of yarns, accessories and craft kits. Their official site doesn't have an online shop as far as I can see, but it does have a lot of free patterns available, a few great tutorials and a lovely blog too. You can find their site here: https://rosarios4.com/en/

I bought the yarn locally and it doesn't seem to be available on Amazon. There are a few European craft supplies sites that sell their yarn, though, and a few do ship worldwide, so if you want to try it out just search online to find a shop that can ship it to you.

(this is not a sponsored post; I have no relationship with Rosarios4; all opinions are my own, based on my experience with this yarn)

Thank you for stopping by and happy Monday!
