Puff Pastry Nutella Rings

Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here a very easy dessert, especially good for the cold weather ahead):

Puff Pastry Nutella Rings

The original recipe is from @kuchengeheimnis_ and includes puff pastry, Nutella and chopped peeled almonds (original IG link for the recipe here)

We sometimes skip the almonds when we make these Nutella rings (picky kids), so we only use two rectangular puff pastry sheets and Nutella.

Basically you just need to spread a thin layer of Nutella over one of thee puff pastry sheets (sprinkle the almonds over the Nutella, if you want), cover it with the other puff pastry sheet, and then cut thin strips, twist them a bit and form them into rings (sadly, my rings never turn out as pretty as the ones in the original recipe).

Place each ring on on oven tray lined with parchment paper, sprinkle over additional bits of almond if you want, and bake for about 10 minutes.

Once baked, let the rings cool for a bit and then sprinkle them with powdered sugar (optional).

I'm partial to eating these still partly warm, but once fully cooled down they can also be easily stored in a cake box or a cookie jar for a few days.

Enjoy and happy Monday!
