To make this zipper pouch I used a basic beige fabric and a piece of a Jelly Roll from Moda Fabrics. I didn't follow a pattern (or created one), so what you have on this post is merely a photo tutorial of the process. No specific measurements are indicated.
My jelly roll was called Pocketful of Posies, it's the same one I used for my quilted reversible table cloth. I can't find anymore, at least not on Amazon, but there are many lovely similar alternatives available:

I cut the jelly roll strip into two pieces (one for each side of the pouch) and sewed each of them to smaller rectangles of fabric, as show below:
Once this was done, I pinned some batting to the back of the pieces and hand quilted the area around the floral fabric, using blue embroidery floss and making it so I could tie a knot, and then a bow, with both ends of the floss after sewing all around:
Then it's necessary cut two pieces of fabric for the lining (same size as the ones just completed for the exterior of the pouch). I used the same beige fabric. And after that it's time to sew the zipper in place.
Start by placing the zipper as show below on top of one of the exterior pieces:
Then place the lining on top, pin in place and sew:
Now, make sure the zipper is partially open, fold the pieces so that you have the exterior pieces right sides together and the lining pieces right sides together as well, pin in place and sew all around, leaving a small opening at the bottom of the lining.
Next, fold the corners as show below and sew, then cutting the triangles off after sewing. Repeat the process with the corners of both the exterior fabric and the lining.
