Hello, and welcome! A couple of weeks ago, when I published the 6 eco-friendly (and budget friendly) holidays tips and ideas, I briefly mentioned this topic and promised I would post more about it. And thren life got in the way (as it always tends to) and I totally forgot about it. But since Christmas is in less than two days and some of us still have Christmas gifts to wrap, here is an easy and useful idea:
Zipper pouches are fairly easy to sew (find my tutorial here), and if you choose felt instead of fabric, you can easily use glue and plastic snaps for a no-sew version (similar to this set here). But you can also buy an inepensive version and use it instead.
By placing your gift inside a zipper pouch, you are effectively wrapping it in a mostly eco-friendly way, since the recipient will be able to re-use the pouch througout the year instead of just thowing a bunch of wrapping paper in the trash can.
So...all you need to do is to get a zipper pouch where your gift fits confortably, and then tie a pretty ribbon around it, with a bow.
And that's it! Two gifts in one, zero waste!
