Crochet Waffle Stitch Blanket - version 3.0

After the first waffle stitch blanket made with velvet yarn, I made a second blanket and then a third one - the first had just been for our living room, the other two specifically for my kids (their choices of colors). I just realised that I never shared the third blanket (my daughter's), so here it is:

This version 3.0 of the blanket the same size as the 2.0 but uses only three colors, in a sort of ombre pattern.

I used Hobbii's Baby Snuggle Solid to crochet this blanket (you can read my review of the yarn here).

It's not as soft as the Luxury Velvet I used for the first blanket but it's actually easier to work with. The 3.0 version is made in the following colors:

  • Cream
  • Koala (the darker gray)
  • Rabbit (the lighter gray)

The blanket was again made using the waffle stitch and an 8 mm crochet hook (even though the yarn recommends a 6.5 mm hook).

Below you can find my waffle stitch video tutorial.
