Today I'm back here sharing a small project I finished right after Christmas. One of my daughter's gifts was a (yet another) new mini baby doll, which obviously needed a lot of accessories - and right away.
As doll sleeping bags go, this one was pretty quick given the small size. But you really can follow the same method to create a sleeping bag for a doll of any size.
I basically crocheted a rectangle long enough to cover all the doll (including the head, since I wanted to add a hoodie to the sleeping bag) and wide enough to go around the doll.
On the two long edges I added a border in a contrasting color, but that is totally optional.
Then all I had to do was to fold the two long edges inward towards de middle and sew the bottom and those edges until a little more than half the height (to leave enough room for the hoodie and a large enough hole to put the doll in the bag.
Then I had to sew the top edges as shown below to create the hoodie:
You can leave it as is, or you can add a small cord to close the hoodie:
And that's it. One happy daughter, one happy doll and one happy mama!
Have a wonderful week!
This is sweet!
