Hello, and welcome! A couple a days ago I mentioned on another post the crochet flower coasters I finished last weekend. Well, today I'm sharing here the tutorial and the pattern, in case you want to make your own too.
I have made these in two colors, but you can really make them in just one color, or add the secondary color in a different row if you prefer. The pattern is very easy and the coasters come together pretty quickly.
Row 1: chain three over a magic ring. Then add one double crochet and chain one. Repeat until you have 11 double crochets plus the initial chain (12 stitches in total). Slip stitch to join.
Row 2: chain two, add one double crochet over the chain of the previous row. Chain one and then add two double crochets over the next chain of the previous row. Repeat until the end. Slip stitch to join.
Row 3: chain two, add two double crochets over the chain of the previous row. Chain one and then add three double crochets over the next chain of the previous row. Repeat until the end. Slip stitch to join.
Row 4: this is where I changed colors. Chain two, add three double crochets over the chain of the previous row. Chain one and then add four double crochets over the next chain of the previous row. Repeat until the end. Slip stitch to join.
Row 5: chain 5, skip over the double crochets of the previous row and slip stitch over the chain from row 4. Repeat until the end. Slip stitch to join.
Border: chain two, add 9 double crochets over the 5-chain from the previous row, slip stitch over the clip stitch from previous row. Repeat until the end adding 10 double crochets over each 5-chain from two 4. Slip stitch to join.
This set of 6 coasters will be a gift for one of my cousins celebrating a birthday soon, but I will certainly make more in the future, probably testing different color combinations too.
Happy Wednesday and stay safe,
