Remember the DIY reusable kitchen towel tutorial I posted about a couple of weeks ago? Well, today I'm going to show you how you can add snaps to those towels and easily use them on a kitchen towel holder - just like you would use a roll of paper towels.
So, start by making the towels as described in the tutorial.
Then pick your plastic snaps - you can get them anywhere, from craft stores to Amazon, and they come in a zillion different colors.
You will also need the appropriate pliers to get the snaps on. Below are the ones I have and love:
Now that you have all the materials, you will need two complete sets of snaps for each kitchen towel.
And you need to apply them as below:
- on one side, apply the snaps like this (one on each corner):
- and on the opposite side, apply them like this (again, one on each corner)
This should be done in a way that the towel can snap closed:
(this is obviously not the objective, it's just to show how how you need to add the snaps)
Once you do this, you can snap the towels together in a row...
...and then put them on a towel holder - ready to use!
Happy Monday!
This is such a great idea. I am trying to be more eco friendly and might have to try this out
