Kitchen towels and makeup brush holders - Made it to Monday |Keeping it Real

Hello, and welcome to another Monday!

Kitchen towels and makeup brush holders - Made it to Monday

Now, Mondays are definitely not my favorite day of the week - I could live forever on Saturdays (no, not Sundays, because Sundays come before Mondays and I don't like Mondays...well, you get the point, right?) - but, strangely, Mondays are usually also when I'm most productive.

Weekends are usually terribly busy for us - the kids have birthday parties, school work, swim meets, then there's church and Sunday school, housework, visits to the inlaws - oh, and yes, trying to get some crafts done too.

This weekend the weather was not our friend - we had rain only on Saturday, but then came very strong winds and save for some grocery shopping and above mentioned church and Sunday school, we ended up indoors most of the time. Which should have meant a lot of crafting, right?

Noooo. Because straying indoors with two antsy kids means that either they sit in front of the TV all day or I have to find other things to entertain them.

Despite all that, I still ended up finishing two projects.

The first one were the kitchen towels I posted a tutorial for last week. It's a set of five terry-cloth backed towels made with different but color coordinating fabrics - this set is in shades of green, but I'm planning to make other sets in different colors too (check the tutorial here if you want to make your own).

And the second project was another makeup brush holder. It's the second one I've made so far and it was totally unplanned - last week I stopped by one of my favorite craft stores and saw this citrus themed fat quarter. The pattern and the colors attracted me and not only I had to buy it - I also had to use it right away... Tutorial for these make-up brush holders to come tomorrow.

I had many other things planned for the weekend, but then I'm already used to having a lot more planned than what I can realistically make. It just means that I will be busy for the rest of the week too.

Now I need to add these two finished items to my Esty shop and hope someone loves them as much as I do.
