Hello, and welcome. Today I'm showing off a gift set I made for one of my daughter's friends. We couldn't attend her birthday party because we were out of town, but I still wanted to send a gift. And as I needed something that I could make on the go, I resorted to my themed notebook cover ideas - because you can never go wrong with those. And I used a spring theme, of course!
The only difference is that instead of actually printing pages and assembling a notebook, I used a store bought one I already had and just created the cover.
The notebook cover was made using my 5 minute book cover tutorial, and I just adjusted for the actual notebook size.
The flowers are cut from felt and glued directly onto the notebook cover. The ladybug is glued too, and the lady bug "path" is hand stitched.
The flap and loop that keep the notebook cover closed were cut using the Sizzix book closures die and is just sewn in place.
I paired the notebook with a matching felt pencil holder - tutorial for that one to come soon.
Happy Monday!
