This is the second wreath I've ever made, but I'm liking this idea more and more. Ever since the baubles Christmas wreath I have been meaning to make another one, and I thought Easter was the perfect opportunity.
So I started with a ball of fluffy green yarn and some flower buttons in bright colors, and I was going to add felt bunnies and Easter eggs as well.
But I never got round to even start cutting the bunnies. Once the wreath base was covered in green yarn (with help from my son, which loved the yarn, by the way), I realized that I wanted to add just the flowers.
So my Easter wreath turned into a Spring wreath...and now I get to make another one for Easter...
This is how it looks hanging on our front door. And yes, that's the peep hole in the middle. We live in an apartment and as per the condominium rules are not allowed to hang anything on the outside of our doors (no one would see it anyway other than the next door neighbor), so I hang my wreaths on the inside, where we they can bright our hallway and our lives.
Spring starts this week! Enjoy!

Sorry Mary, but there isn't a lot to say regarding instructions, I just covered the base with the yarn making sure there were no "bald" spots and then glued on the buttons. I actually started to sew the buttons but decided it was taking to long so I went with the glue instead...
DeleteVery pretty your spring wreath! The colors make me happy!
