Hello, and welcome! In line with my 2026 motto of being frugal, today I'm sharing here what I made from an empty soaps package I saved up from Christmas:
This is what I started with:
I decided to use one of the longer sides of the package to make a bookmark. I cut the rectangle I wanted, glued it over a piece of pink lightweight cardboard (because the back of the rectangle bore some marks from the soaps that had been inside), cut off the excess and laminated the whole thing:
Then I added an eyelet and a tassel and voilĂ : one very cute bookmark:
Then I used the rest of the package to create an assortment of gift tags (using several of my Sizzix dies):
So, overall, look at everything I managed to make from one single soap box that would otherwise be placed in the recycling bin:
