Hello, and welcome! Here is a fun idea with multiple possibilities - you can use it to decorate your home for Valentine's day, you can make it as a gift or party favor, or you can even use it as a gift tag:
It all started with this punched wood pieced shaped as a heart, from a set I bought years ago on Amazon:

Instead of full cross stitch, I opted to fill in the heart with just a half stitch. I used some leftover yarn I had around and it was too bulky for the full cross stitch:
When all the stitches were done, I glued the back of the heart to a bit of felt in a matching color...
Then I just needed to trim the felt to shape in the back of the heart:
I could have just left it there, but finally decided to add a small resin flower to embellish the heart:
And that's it: one very cute Valentine's day ornament finished in next to nothing (and with materials I already had at home)!
