Remember the pom-pom decorated paper clips tutorial I post here before Christmas? Well, decided to follow the same method, minus the pom-poms, and this time I used some painted wood butterflies:
I had these butterflies for years in my stash, since the early days of this blog, and I can't even remember where I bought them. But they were just perfect for this little project.
As with the pom-poms, the butterflies are glued to the paper clips on one side, with the back covered by a small felt circle (also glued). And since I have a whole box filled with felt scraps, I managed to cut circles in almost the same colors as the butterflies.
I made two of each color and for now I haven't decided yet whether to gift them as a set or to add them to other gifts. But they are fun to make and have lots of uses (from bookmarks to cute office supplies) so they will for sure find their forever home soon.
And yes, those are perfectly regular paper clips. I like to use the larger size, but you can always adjust to use what you already have at home.
Happy Thursday,
