No bake peanut butter & oats bars: a healthy treat

Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here a simple recipe for peanut butter & oats bars. Only three ingredients (if you want to add the chocolate, which you totally should), super quick to make, and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients (for 2 bars):
  • 2 table spoons of peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of oats
  • 2 to 3 table spoons of melted dark chocolate, depending on how thick you want the chocolate layer to be
You can mold the bars by hand, but if you plan on making them on a regular basis it's useful to have bar molds like the ones below:

Tescoma Granola Bar Maker

I have just the silicone molds, not the entire bar maker, but they work just fine.

Instructions:

In a bowl, mix the peanut butter with the oats. Use your hands, if necessary, to make sure the ingredients are well incorporated together.

Place the mixture in the bar molds, pressing well, especially in the corners.

Melt the chocolate and spread a thin layer over each of the bars:

Place in a fridge/freezer safe container and refrigerate for 3-4 hours before removing from the molds. In order for the bars to harden quicker, you can also freeze them for a couple of hours.

Keep refrigerated or in a cool place, to keep the peanut butter from melting and turning the bars too sticky.
