I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to sewing projects lately, but last Saturday I managed to sew a gift bag for a co-worker's birthday this week.
At first I thought about simply following my basic reusable gift bags tutorial, but then I realized I could sew a bit of this vintage lace on top and just run a ribbon through the eyelets, to create an easy drawstring version:
I also added a wooden bead to secure the edges of the ribbon:
Overall, this was a pretty quick project and I think it turned out great.
Now I just need to find the time to sew a whole batch of gift bags for Christmas, since I absolutely refuse to buy wrapping paper when I have to many fabrics in my stash just waiting to be used.
