Crochet Kitchen Towel version 1.0 - free pattern

Hello, and welcome! After posting yesterday about the trio of kitchen towels I've recently completed, today I'm sharing the first of those patterns.

This one is in fact the easiest of the three - you just need to use double crochets and single crochets.

I used 100% cotton yarn in white and green (because both yarns were thin, I crocheted with the two strands simultaneously) and a 2.5 mm crochet hook.

Instructions (US crochet terms):

Note: I started with 53 chains to end up with 50 stitches. Adjust the number of chains to the width you want your towel to have.

Row 1: Chain 53. Start on the 3rd chain from hook and add one double crochet over each of the remaining chains until the end (50 stitches in total).

Row 2: turn your work around, chain two and add one single crochet over each stitch from previous row (50 stitches in total).

Row 3: turn your work around, chain two and add one double crochet over each stitch from previous row (50 stitches in total).

Row 4 onwards: alternate rows 2 and 3 until reaching the desired length for your kitchen towel.

This is what the pattern will look like:

Cut the yarn, weave in ends and your towel is ready to be used!

Here is the green towel together with its "sisters". Stay tuned for the other two patterns - coming soon!
