Simply Chocolate Brownie Cake (nut free)

Most traditional brownie recipes include nuts of some kind. But when you have picky kids or any sort of nut allergy in your house, you may want to try this brownie cake recipe made just with good old chocolate.

Scroll down to find out how we make it:

Ingredients:
  • 200 grams of culinary chocolate (dark chocolate works well too)
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 250 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of flour
  • 25 grams of powdered cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Instructions:

Mix the sugar with the eggs. Break the chocolate bar into smaller pieces, melt them together with the butter (I usually do this in the microwave in 10 second increments) and add them to the mixture.

Add the flower and the powdered cocoa, and finally the baking powder.

Pour the mixture into a pre-greased cake pan and bake at 180ยบ C for 25-30 minutes (in addition to greasing the pan, for this cake I like to add a sheet of parchment paper, as the cake is so much easier to get out of the pan that way).
