Here's another little crochet project, perfect for Valentine's Day!
The pattern is very easy and beginner friendly. Below you have the written instructions, but I've also created a video tutorial to make it even easier for you.
These small crochet hearts can be used as gift tags, embellishments, key chains, earrings, etc. You can tie them to a piece of yarn and create a cute Valentine's Day garland or any other piece of Valentine's Day decor.
To create these little hearts I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. Each heart has an approximate size of 5 x 4 cm (2 x 1.5 inches).
Here's the pattern:
On a magic ring, add the following stitches (US crochet terms):
- chain two
- one double crochet
- three treble crochets
- three double crochets
- one treble crochet (this will be the bottom center of the heart)
- three double crochets
- three treble crochets
- two double crochets
- one slip stitch (this will be the top center of the heart)
Pull the yarn to close the ring. Tie both ends with a knot (this will work if you want to use your hearts to make a garland or as gift tags) or weave in ends.
Repeat as many times as you want to create a cute set of little colorful hearts!
If you prefer, you can also follow the video tutorial below:
Have fun, and happy crocheting!
