Learn the Crochet Waffle Stitch - from the Crochet for Absolute Beginners series

Hello everyone! Today I'm introducing the latest video of my How to Crochet for Absolute Beginners series that is now on my YouTube Channel.

And this time I have tackled the waffle stitch!

 

I love the waffle stitch. When I used it for the first time I confess that I was a bit confused but...it's really very easy and, to be honest, it always amazes me how it is created just using basic stitches. 

This year I've been using the waffle stitch a lot for blankets. I started with a new throw blanket for our living room and then suddenly both my kids wanted blankets (same stitch, different colors), and now I'm thinking of making a few more as gifts for friends and family too. 

I'll post about those blankets here on the blog over the next few weeks, but for now here's the waffle stitch tutorial:
