Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here two crochet doll dresses I made this past weekend.
Sometimes inspiration strikes when you least expect - although in this case my inspiration did have a small push, in the form of a request from...you guessed, my daughter.
I totally winged both dresses, crocheting as I went along, so unfortunately no patterns to share.
The first dress I crocheted was for this tiny baby doll.
The poor thing is forever locked in a crawling position, so making her a dress was certainly a challenge. I used a variegated yarn and it's mostly single crochet stitches.
The second dress was luckily slightly larger than the other, which made it a bit easier. I used a zig-zag design and tried to combine a series of yarn leftovers.
So a zig zag design (although it's not too visible since there are only three small stripes) with double crochets for the skirt and just single crochets for the top of the dress.
Those are the cutest little dolls and crochet dresses!!
ReplyDeleteGreat work. Once you start dressing them they always seem to need more.
