How to Create DIY Plant Stakes + Free Printables

If you have a hard time remembering how much to water your plant (like me) or how much sun it needs during the day (like me also), picking out a couple of low-maintenance plants can help relieve you of any plant parent stress. Plus, many houseplants can be free of toxins and irritants, so you don’t have to worry too much if you have any kids or animals running around in your home.

An easy way to remember how to care for your plant is by using labeled plant stakes in the houseplants pot.

Here’s how to create DIY plant stakes that will help you if you’re sometimes forgetful of how to care for your green friends!

How to Create DIY Plant Stakes

  1. Print out these plant labels that include how much daily water and the sun-time the plant needs, as well as if they are safe or not safe for pets or children.
  2. Use wooden popsicle sticks or mason jar lids as the base of the plant stake.
  3. Cut out the plant labels and glue or tape the label onto the popsicle stick or jar lid.
  4. Stake your plant stakes next to each plant.

Looking for some low-maintenance houseplants to add to your collection? Yes, please!

Some of the easiest to manage are peace lilies, rubber plants and succulents. Now, its time to make your home look like a green house!

Have fun and happy Tuesday!
