Hello, and welcome! While on lockdown our imagination has been working overtime to keep the kids occupied. Our latest project has been a small puppet theater.
Want to make one too?
We used the lid of a cardboard box to make the theater itself - which is easy since we buy a lot of things online now and end up with extra boxes all the time.
We cut a square off the box lid, as shown below:
Then we added the curtains. I totally skipped hemming them. Because my daughter wanted to be able to remove the curtains I used plastic snaps instead of glue. They are simply tied to the sides of the box lid:
Simple, right? One puppet theater in less than 10 minutes.
My kids chose the story of the hare and the tortoise for their first play, so we also came up with a couple of "puppets" - made of felt and glued to wooden sticks:
And with that, the play is ready to start!
