Holidays stress-relief coloring page & more free printables

I totally meant to post this last week before Christmas, but with the kids at home I kind of lost track of time and only managed to get to it today...but we're still in 2020 and the holidays season hasn't ended yet, so there's still some room for another holidays post, right?

The fact is that, despite the holidays being marketed as “the most wonderful time of the year," many of us experience heightened feelings of stress, sadness, and anxiousness during this time - and most especially this year.

These holiday blues could be attributed to loneliness, end-of-year career stress, the financial strain that can come with gift-giving, or hosting family gatherings, health issues — just to name a few. Taking time to clear your mind, slow down, and temporarily remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of the holidays can be an effective way to manage stress and feelings of anxiousness. How, you ask?

Well, you can try coloring! Print out the stress-relief coloring page below or gift it to a loved one this season. This is a great activity for a quick mental health break during the day if you feel stress coming on or to unwind in the evening.

Sending health-focused care packages during the holiday or winter season also can also be an effective way to minimize a loved one’s holiday stress, anxiety, or depression.

Here are a few care-package ideas:
  • COVID-19 Care Package: hand sanitizer, face mask, cozy socks, candle, toilet paper, a stay-at-home game
