Hello, and welcome! Today I'm sharing here the latest sewing pattern I added to my Etsy shop.
This travel sewing kit came about some time ago because I felt the need to always carry with me a few sewing essentials in a lean package that would not take too much space in my purse. I made one for myself, and a few more to give as gifts, but only now rediscovered my pattern and decided to give it an upgrade to offer it on Etsy.
It's a very simple pattern. designed in a cross shape. The sides and bottom flaps overlap each other to form a small pouch, and the top flap closes it safely with a snap.
There are four felt "pages" to hold pins and needles and one additional felt area where I usually add some safety pins (you never know when a safety pin is going to come in handy) and store a few buttons for an emergency replacement.
There's room to add some mini scissors and a piece of cardboard with sewing thread in different colors.
Here's a small video showing you how it works:
Of all my creations, this is probably the one I have used the most over the years, and now I'm very proud to share it with all of you. Check it out here.
Happy Thursday and stay safe,
