Tuesday Tips - Creating New Products

Talking about creating new products when I have my Etsy shop on vacation is probably a bit strange. Or maybe not, since I plan to add lots of new items when I’m able to reopen.

Tuesday Tips - Creating New Products

Before I had my Etsy shop I had been making gifts for family and friends for years - having a shop was just an extension of that. All items in my shop are things that I use on a regular basis - or that I make on a regular basis to give as gifts. If I gift them, maybe someone wants to do the same too, right?

Mostly, I strive to make useful things - I don’t like to give (or receive, for that matter) items that will only add to the clutter we all have at home. And if those useful things also happen to help the environment, all the better.

That’s why this year I’ve been adding a lot of eco-friendly products, from reusable face scrubbies and grocery bags to kitchen unpaper towels - not no mention the fabric gift bags, which I personally love. Since I started making them we never bought another roll of wrapping paper at our house.

And there’s not much more than that. I make what I love and I’ve been very lucky so far to have great buyers that seem to love my items too.

I hope this situation we are all living today improves quickly and that we can all return, as much as possible, to our normal lives soon.

Until then, stay safe.
