Have you ever needed a gift on the go and didn't feel like going shopping? It happened to me this weekend. We were invited at the last minute for an Easter gifts exchange on Saturday and I had to come up with something really quickly.
As only the kids were supposed to get gifts, I decided to browse my Sizzix dies for something I could use. And I came up with the penguin key chain:
Even though it was Easter, I decided against an Easter themed gift, as I wanted the recipient to be able to use it all year long.
No pattern to share, of course, as all parts (except the eyes) were cut using the Sizzix.
I managed to make this in less than fifteen minutes and I think it turned out pretty good for such a quick project.
The little girl who ended up receiving the penguin key chain was very happy, and so was I.
I actually found this such a great idea I'm thinking of using some of my other dies to make more key chains. I'll be sure to share them here one of these days.
And as an additional bonus, this entire project was made using materials I already had in my stash, so it's another contribution to my destashing efforts!
