Embellished wooden box

Last week, after returning from our trip abroad and while browsing through a store I cam across a set of decorated wooden boxes. Which were kind of expensive. And I said to myself - I can make this for a lot less money. 

So I want to the dollar store and bought a simple wooden box. 

 

Then I used some leftover self adhesive fabric (from the fabric covered wooden box I made last year), ribbon and a button to decorate it. 

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result. It looks very similar to the expensive boxes I saw at the first store. I managed to fit inside it a square scented soap and it's now going to be a gift for my cousin who's celebrating her birthday soon.
