Hello and welcome. today I'm back sharing a new recipe. These chicken burgers are a staple at our house. The kids like them because they're soft and tasty, and since they are made with chicken, they are supposedly healthier than those made with red meat - or so they say....
Find out how to make them below:
Ingredients (for 10 to 12 burgers):
- 3 chicken breasts, minced
- 2-3 slices of bread, crumbled - one or two days old bread works great. If you want you can soak the bread in a bit of milk beforehand, but personally I prefer to leave this recipe dairy free.
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- vegetable margarine or olive oil to fry the burgers. If you're using a non-stick pan, reduce the amount of margarine or olive oil needed. For an even healthier option, you can just grill them.
Instructions:
- Mix the minced chicken breasts with the bread crumbs and the egg (using your hands is really the most practical way to do it)
- Season to taste
- Divide the mixture into small portions and flatten them to shape the burgers
- Fry the burgers until they turn a nice golden color and are cooked inside
Enjoy, and happy Tuesday,
I'm sure my kids would love these - thanks for sharing the recipe. :)
