Condensed milk brings me memories of childhood days when the taste of something sweet (ok, very sweet) came without the guilt of ingesting too much sugar. I used to love eating condensed milk by the spoon...
Oh well, back to the present: a while ago I bought a can of condensed milk as part of the list of ingredients for a cake recipe I wanted to try...only to find out later that the condensed milk was only necessary for the cake frosting. Now, I usually only add frosting to cakes for birthday parties and other special occasions, so that particular cake stayed frostless (is that even a word?). And the can of condensed milk lived in the back of my pantry until I came up with a recipe to use it.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of butter or margarine
- 1 cup of flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
Mix sugar and butter/margarine and and then add the eggs and the condensed milk. Once you have a soft, uniform batter, add the rest of the ingredients, pour everything onto a greased cake pan and bake for for about 30 minutes.
Happy Tuesday,
