(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - a walk in space

Last Friday we took the kids to the Cosmos Discovery World Exhibition. It was the opening day, but because it was also the beginning of Easter weekend, there wasn't a huge crowd.

Basically this exhibition holds artifacts (real ones and replicas) covering the entire history of space exploration. The kids had a lot of fun (especially my almost 10 year old boy) and, to be honest, both my husband and I loved it too.

It's an unique piece of world history that, especially because we live in Portugal, we mostly get to see from the sidelines - and this time we felt it a lot closer.

Honestly, the tickets aren't cheap, but it's totally worth it. So if you ever get to have this exhibition close to were you live (it's a world tour), I recommend it.

  1. I am happy you got to see this exhibit and all the artefacts. If you don't live in the USA (or Russia?), I would think it is difficult to get to see space "stuff". I know Cite d'Espace in France has a good collection including things rocket scientist hubby never saw close up before.

    1. I didn't know about France, but I can guarantee that in Portugal we're very removed from any space-related activities, so this was definitely amazing Thank you for stopping by!

  2. Oh i haven't been to a museum like that, although there is something about space here. It is common not to see what is just next door! I spent a week at the Space University in Strasbourg, France but i didn't have time for the museum.

    1. Sadly, this is just a temporary exhibition, so we just had to see it before it moves somewhere else. but you can always check their page, maybe it'll come your way in the future.
