DIY Bunny Spring T-shirt

Spring starts in about a week, and I'm really excited, because spring and summer are my favorite seasons of the year!

For weeks I've had lots of spring projects in my head, but I've also been terribly busy at work, which has left me little time for crafts. Last weekend I finally managed to sit in front of my sewing machine and finish the spring bunny shirt for my daughter:

Overall, this was a pretty inexpensive project because I used a t-shirt we had to buy a while ago for a school play, leftover fabric (from the baby travel meal set) and a pom-pom from my stash.

I cut the bunny with a Sizzix die-cut and my Big Shot machine, but you can easily print a bunny shape off the Internet and use it as a guide to cut your fabric. I used double-sided iron-on interfacing (the kind that you can sew over) to place the bunny over the t-shirt:

Then I sewed all-around with a zig-zag stitch to make sure sure there will be no fraying. The pom-pom can either be sewn or glued - I opted for sewing.

One spring project down. Several more to go.

    1. Thank you! I confess I had a moment of indecision on whether I should or shouldn't add a pom-pom to the t-shirt, but in the end I think it turned out great.
