Seashells and glitter Christmas ornaments

Hello, and welcome to another quick Christmas project: the seashells and glitter ornaments.

My kids have a habit of collecting every single seashell they find at the beach, big or small, broken or not, and we have an overload of buckets filled with seashells in our garage. Once in a while, I try to incorporate seashells in my craft projects, just for the sake of using a few of them up, like I did with the summer photo frame. This year I decided to include them in a Christmas project too.

What you need to make these:
  • small seashells
  • clear ornaments
  • glitter (I used red and blue)
  • glue

Fill the ornaments with the glitter and them add the seashells.

Close the ornaments, adding a few drops of glue to ensure they don't accidentally open after hanging.

Hang the ornaments on your Christmas tree or wherever you want to display them.

  2. I love this idea and it will be a lovely way to display all the tiny shells I collect from my visits to the west coast.

  3. I love this idea. I have shells all over my tree but I never would have thought to put the little ones I've collected in a ball.

    1. This works well for the smaller shells and even for the slightly broken ones that my kids still insist on bringing home. Thank you for stopping by and happy holidays!
