DIY custom photo frames

This year I decided to make as many Christmas gifts at home as possible, and in that spirit, I teamed up with several talented bloggers for the Handmade Christmas 2016 blog hop.

A couple of weeks ago I shared my DIY Custom Tea Tray Sets and today I'm back here with some additional inspiration for another quick and easy Christmas gift: custom photo frames.

If you want to find out how I made them, read on.

I started with a plain wood photo frame and a set of painted wood letters, both purchased at a local craft store. There were also some plain wood letters available at the store, which I would have painted and used if there was no other choice, but the already decorated ones were a bonus.

Because the frame is meant for a girl, I painted it hot pink to match her bedroom decor.

Then I hot glued the letters to form the name of the recipient, and added a wood flower that came with the letters set as embellishment.

Seriously, this has got to be one of the easiest gifts I have ever made, and the only think that takes longer in this process is waiting for the paint to dry. So, I decided to made another frame, in a slightly smaller size, for another girl:

Here are the two finished frames:

Overall, I think they turned out pretty cute, and they will be perfect as Christmas gifts. And I'll be keeping them in mind for birthday gifts too.

Happy Thursday,
