The ABC Crafts Series: C is for...crochet
Welcome to another roundup in the ABC Craft Series. After two weeks on the letter B (the beading projects, and the baby projects), we are moving on to letter C!
In my opinion, crochet is a very relaxing hobby, but whenever I post about crochet on the blog there are always comments from people who say they wish they had learned to crochet but never did.
I may be biased, but I think crochet is much easier than it looks. So for this ABC of crafts post I wanted to show you some very simple crochet projects. Cute and useful items that even beginners can make and enjoy. And who knows, maybe I'll inspire people who never crocheted before to give it a try!

The Easy Crochet Bows from Craftiness Is Not Optional are super easy to make and can be used for a variety of things, from making cute hair clips to embellishing wrapped gifts!

The Crochet Basket Tutorial, found on Cherry Heart. Clear step by step instructions will help you make this cute basket. I love the colors too!

The Crochet Coasters shared by Lulu Loves are easy and quick to make, and a wonderful homemade gift idea. I want to make some, in those exact colors.

And now, some cuteness overload for your kitchen with these Crochet Potholders. From Crochet and Company. You'll need to scroll down to view the pattern.

And finally, the Mandala Floor Rug. It's the most time consuming project of the lot, but while it may take you a little longer, it's still as easy as any of the others.
I hope you enjoyed this little collection of easy crochet projects. Next week I'll still be sticking to the letter C, to bring you some cool DIY candle ideas!
In case you missed the previous posts, the ABC Crafts series will be covering one (or more) crafts for each letter of the alphabet during 2016. Each roundup features 5 links, grouped around the major theme. All links posted will be DIY tutorials with clear instructions and/or free patterns, so that everyone can easily replicate them.
I've now created a specific page for the series, which will include links to the crafts already covered, and a list of upcoming topics. You can find the page here. If you have suggestions for any of the topics, feel free to leave me a comment or send me an e-mail and I will try to include your ideas as much as possible (with proper credit)!

Happy weekend!
I wish I could crochet, it makes me so mad that I can't. I've tried I just get so frustrated, hah.
ReplyDeleteyou need to try it again, It's really easy, once you get past that initial stage! Good luck!
DeleteSuch cute items you have here!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining Cooking and Crafting with J & J!
Thank you Jess!
DeleteThese are such cute crochet crafts! Sometimes I wish I had that kind of skill, but then no one would want to wear a misshapen scarf made by me. Trust me, I tried ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you need to start with something smaller than a scarf...and yes, most of the time those first few projects end up in the trash, but it gets better!
DeleteI love the rug... and those pot holders sure are cute!
