(Almost) Wordless Wednesday 1/July

Welcome to the first wordless Wednesday of July...which could also be named "unconventional zoo pictures".

So, I took my kids to the zoo a couple of weeks ago and oddly enough, they only wanted pictures of non zoo animals that happened to be there as well. No tigers, no lions, no bears, not even monkeys. Just turtles, ducks, flamingos...

I did manage to sneak in a miniature kangaroo and some sleepy koalas:

The giraffe wanted nothing to do with me, though...

...and neither did the peacock on top of a roof:

 But the ducks in the lake? Cuteness overload!

My son did ask for a photo of the dolphins show, but me being me (no talent for photography, sorry), this was the best I managed:

He also wanted a photo of the rhino...

...while my daughter was fascinated by the turtles and now wants one for her birthday.

All in all, it was a great day, though maybe I could just take them to a farm or to the pet store next time, since the rest of the animals didn't interest them at all...

    Haha great idea about pet store instead of the zoo =P

    All the photos are amazing! My fave Zoo animal is always the majestic Giraffe.

      I do take them to pet stores once in a while...but then they start bugging me about getting a pet and I'm totally not ready for that! Too much chaos in my life as it is...
