Simple Christmas countdown calendar - free printable

When my son was a toddler, he kept asking me how many days there were until his next birthday and we've got into the habit of making countdown calendars. The first time I just got a notebook and wrote the numbers on it, but since then, our calendars have become more sophisticated.

Well, this year he decided he wanted a Christmas countdown calendar as well (even if we usually have an advent calendar for each of the kids every year). I think he likes to rip a page everyday and know exactly how many days he still has to wait.

He has actually been asking for the calendar for a couple of weeks now, but I never found the time to comply. Now that December is just around the corner, I decided to sit in front of the computer for a while and get on with it.

This is how it looks after it's done:

Basically, there is one sheet per day, which tells you exactly how many days are left before December 25th  Each day you take out the top sheet of paper and the number decreases:

If you want one for yourself, just download the file, print the pages and cut them to shape. Then you can either staple them together or punch a hole and tie them with thread or ribbon like I did (I started on 26 because I intend to hang it tomorrow morning in our kitchen, just adjust the number of days if you are making this later).

Enjoy,
