Kids art: easy Mother's Day gift

The idea I'm sharing today isn't really mine and I fell bad about it. Not because I wasn't supposed to share it, but because it's such a good idea I wish I'd had it myself.

And it's the perfect gift for Mother's day.

My son made it at school and brought it home to give me on Mother's Day (which we celebrated in Portugal last Sunday, May 3rd).

It's a simple canvas, painted green, with pieces cut out from an egg carton painted and glued on it to form the flowers:

The flower stems are green pipe cleaners tied with a bit of ribbon:

All gifts I receive from my kids are precious, but this was by far one of the most beautiful ones. And it's so simple to make it was really a shame not to share it.
