Hello, and welcome! My daughter made a granny square bag for one of her friends. Basically, she crocheted all the granny squares, joined them together and assembled the bag. I contributed just by adding the lining and sewing the handles.

For the assembly of the bag we followed the method shown here. The difference is that one square in this tutorial actually corresponds to 4 squares of ours.
Lining is a basic white fabric, and we also added a magnet closure and a little "handmade with love" tag inside:
And the best? Except for the faux leather handles, everything else came from my stash. And since we still had some leftover yarn, we also made a matching beads & tassel keychain to go with the bag (tutorial for those here).
