Every year I always try to make at least a few Christmas cards at home. This time I opted for the wrapped gifts theme:
How to make these?
You'll need pre-cut cards (or the materials to create them), small squares or rectangles of decorated paper (scrap booking paper leftovers are great for this), bits of ribbon,yarn or cord (again, leftovers are perfect) and glue.
Glue the ribbon over the squares or rectangles to imitate a wrapped gift. Here's how it should look, front and back:
Glue your "gift" to the front of the blank card:
And then add a tiny bow on top:
You can also use other embellishments instead of bows. For the card below, I used a mini pom-pom, for example:
Once you get started, the possibilities are endless:
And in almost no time you'll have a cute collection of homemade cards to use this Christmas:
